This figural powder jar is shown and described on pages 44-45 in Whitmyer: Bedroom & Bathroom Glassware of the Depression Years. Beautifully executed with fine definition to the Sphinx features and an incredible Art Deco geometric shape. The jar with lid measures 5" x 5 1/4". There is a flake missing from one corner of the inside rim of the jar, not seen with the lid in place, also several scratches inside - The Sphinx figural on the lid has a sliver missing from one side of the nose [see photo] and some wear to the gold paint, due to age - there is no other damage. </td></tr><tr> <td> </td></tr><tr> <td>Reference #: aaSXPSGPJ</td></tr><tr><td>Condition:See Description</td></tr><tr><td>Year:1930s</td></tr><tr><td>Title:Sphinx Pink Satin Glass Art Deco Powder Jar</td></tr><tr><td>Style:Art Deco</td></tr><tr><td>Location:Orlando, Florida</td></tr></table>
