Post-war armory altered breech-loading lever action repeating rifle chambered in .50 Rimfire, manufactured circa 1863-1865. Springfield Armory altered over 11,000 Spencer carbines circa 1867-1874. Features a 22" sleeved barrel, front sight base with German silver blade, flip-up ladder rear sight graduated to 800 yards, rounded trigger, knurled hammer spur, 7 round tube magazine located in the buttstock, sling bar with saddle ring, 'J' shaped finger lever, smooth walnut forend with single barrel band, and straight grip shoulder stock with metal carbine buttplate. Rifle exhibits some streaks of thinned bluing with the majority of the metal surfaces displaying a orange/brown patina. Action is in good working order, the three land bore is good, markings are not present other that the serial number, and the wood stocks are good with blemishes & losses.
