This is a Walther Mod. PPK pistol with an exceptionally high quality reproduction Political Leader grips and brown leather Party Leader holster. Known officially as the "Honor Weapon of the Political Leaders", PPK pistols with these special grips and holsters were presented to NSDAP officials for meritorious party service. The pistol has a high-polish blue finish. The brown plastic one-piece wrap-around grips are checkered and have the Eagle and swastika insignia embossed on the top of the both sides. The pistol has a side magazine release, lanyard loop at the bottom of the frame, 60 degree safety lever and cartridge indicator pin. The right side of the barrel and slide have the standard pre-war, commercial, "Eagle/N" Nazi proofmarks. The serial number is stamped vertically on the right side of the frame behind the trigger and etched on the inside of the slide. The left side of the slide is marked with the Walther Banner followed by the factory legend and caliber in two lines followed by "Mod. PPK." It is fitted with a standard magazine with the flat metal base plate that is marked on the left side "Walther/PPK/7,65mm". The brown leather holster has a spare magazine pouch with extra magazine on the front of the body. The holster flap is stamped with the same large "Eagle/Swastika" insignia found on the grips. The back of the holster has a single belt loop.
BBL: 4 inch round
Stock:
Gauge: 7.65 mm
Finish: blue
Grips: plastic
Serial Number: 311426K
Condition:
Excellent. The pistol retains 95% of the original blue finish showing some wear on the edges of the slide. The markings are clear and sharp. The front upper left and right sides of the slide have a couple of small pin-prick pitted areas, probably from sitting in a holster. The grips are very fine with a hairline crack on the upper rear, showing signs of some slight warping at the very front edges, typical on this style. The top edges of the grip may also have shrunk slightly as they don't fit tight up against the frame. The holster is near excellent with a nice even light brown color overall, nice tight stitching, some minor age cracking on top of the flap and the corners and edges of the magazine pouch. A good representative example, none the less, for less money than an original Party Leader PPK.
