Adopted by the Nazis in the pre-war years for low-cost marksmanship training, this KKW rifle has been fitted with a ZF-41 scope. The scope has the forward sun shield and is marked "dow / + / ZF40 (40 struck) 41/1" in the top center and "10817" on the top of the eye piece. The top of the chamber is marked "G / GUSTLOFF-WERKE / Waffenwerk-Suhl", the left side has an "eagle/N" and "eagle/4" proofmarks and the right rear is marked "K.K. Wehrsportgewehr". The left rear of the barrel is marked "KAL. 22 LANG FUR BUCHSEN" followed by the serial number and an "eagle/N" proofmark. The scope mount is marked "duv" over an "eagle/214" proofmark. Blade front sight and tangent sight graduated to 2,000 meters, and mounted with a full pistol grip stock with handguard and steel buttplate. Complete with a slotted cleaning rod, muzzle/front sight cover and tan painted metal Nazi proofed scope can.

Condition: Excellent. The rifle retains 95% original finish with some thinning on the barrel, speckled flaking on the front barrel band and some high edge wear. The stock is very fine with scattered minor dings, dents and scratches. The markings are sharp. The scope can is very fine with a few touched out spots where the paint had chipped. The action is excellent. With exception of slightly cloudy optics, the scope is very good with some thinning finish.
