A) Manufactured from 1875 to 1912. The top of the barrel is marked "-COLT-" in large italicized letters and "41 CAL" is marked on the left side of the frame. Serial number is on the left side of the frame under the grip and marked on the inside of each grip panel. Blue barrel, nickel frame, casehardened hammer and trigger, and fitted with smooth varnished grips. Complete in a period wooden case with inset brass shield on the lid and red velvet fitted lining.

Condition: Very fine. The barrel retains 75% original blue finish mixed with smooth plum patina. The frame retains 98% original nickel finish with a small area of flaking on the left side and some minor wear on the left side front edge at the breech. The grips are also very fine with 98% original varnish remaining, showing some high edge wear and a few light handling marks. The barrel marking is sharp. The action is excellent. The case is very good with the lid a little warped and showing scattered minor dings on the exterior and faded lining with some minor contact wear and soiling.

Condition: Very fine. The barrel retains 70% original blue finish with a smooth brown patina on the balance. The frame retains 95% original nickel finish with a small area of flaking on the right front and some high edge wear. The grips are also very fine with 95% original varnish, showing some high edge wear and a few minor dings and handling marks. The barrel marking is sharp. The action is excellent.
