Specimens of Military Yen Currency Area B. According to Specimens of Military Japan Supplemental B Y
Specimens of Military Japan Supplemental B Yen Currency Schwan-Boling 269. Supplemental B Yen was used in the Japanese home islands from September 6, 1945 through July 15, 1948. On the Ryukyus, it was in use from April 1, 1945 to September 30, 1958. This set consists of six replacement H-A block notes that were perforated with "SPECIMEN" in the field to create the notes for this specimen booklet. The notes are 10 Sen, 1 Yen, 5 Yen, 10 Yen, 20 Yen, and 100 Yen. Each of the six notes are New and were once mounted within the included specimen booklet cover. Adhesive residue is found at back top and bottom center and also along the right back margin of the six notes. The included cardboard cover of the booklet reads "Specimens of Military Yen Currency Area B." This set once had a 50 Sen specimen note, but that note is missing. Nonetheless, a great item to contend for.
