Special order Winchester model 1873 lever-action rifle, .32-20 caliber, 30" octagon barrel, full magazine, half nickel finish, set trigger, select checkered wood stocks, long range veneer tang sight, serial number 437333B, with factory letterconfirming caliber, barrel length, set trigger, half nickel, but stocks and sights not listed. The barrel shows 20-40% blue within a browning patina and the magazine tube shows some traces of blue, mostly going to grey. Some scattered light tomoderate erosion and pinprick pitting, and some gripping marks on a couple of areas on the barrel near the rear sight. The frame shows 30-50% original nickel that is dulling with some beginning erosion, rust, and pinprick pitting. The stocks are of a 1-2X grain, nicely checkered in a factory pattern, and show nail or stud decoration at the front and rear of the forend. The stocks are well fitted and appear to be a Winchester product. The rear sight shows considerableoriginal blue turning brown and is an old sight, probably dealer added or supplied. The markings are sharp, the action is good, the bore is very good. A nice looking extra-long '73 with a lot of features and a great look. Est: $5,000 - $9,000
