Special order Remington model 1891 target pistol, .22 caliber rimfire, 10” half round, half octagon barrel, factory nickel finish, standard smooth wood stocks, serial #326. Pictured in Remington Rolling Block Pistols,page 205. The pistol shows the side barrel address with E. Remington & Sons which predates 1888 and has the light weight barrel which is shown on page 208 of the same publication. The pistol remains in good tovery good condition showing 50-70% original nickel drifting on left side of the barrel with some scratches, some darkening, erosion, and pinprick pitting where the finish has lifted. The balance of the nickel is a softsatin color and shows no polishing. The grips are good to very good with many small dings and mars on the forend and a few on the grip. The sights show considerable original finish, the action is good, markings good,bore is slightly rough. From the Jerry Landskron collection. Est: $1,500 - $3,000
