Manufactured from 1892 to 1902. The upper tang is marked with the three line address/1864-1874 patent dates and the serial number is marked on the left side of the upper and lower tangs under the stock. The buttplate heel is marked "5", reason unknown. Pinched front sight and two leaf folding rear sight marked "3" and "6". The left side of the barrel band is marked with the letter "U" and there is a saddle ring and bar mounted on the left side of the receiver. All parts, except the rear sight are factory nickel plated and the carbine is mounted with a smooth forearm and straight grip stock with an iron carbine buttplate.

Condition: Excellent with 97% of the original nickel finish, showing some light bubbling and handling marks. Stock is fine with exception of a minor crack in the wrist, mild chips around the frame, and scattered dings and scratches. Mechanically excellent. A nice Remington Baby Carbine with scarce special order factory nickel plating.
