<B>Special Marvel Edition #15 (Marvel, 1973) CGC NM/MT 9.8 Off-white to white pages.</B></I> When the kung fu craze hit, Marvel was fast as lightning, bringing out a kung-fu character with expert timing. The fighter in question was Shang Chi, Master of Kung Fu (and son of Fu Manchu!) who made his first appearance here. It's an ancient Chinese art, and everybody knew their part, in this case it was Steve Englehart providing the plot and Jim Starlin the cover and interior art. No copy of this black-cover issue has been graded higher than this one by CGC to date. Overstreet 2007 NM- 9.2 value = $160.
