Special Elk Permit - Navajo Nation Department of Fish & Wildlife
Donor: Navajo Nation Department of Fish and Wildlife.
Number of Hunters: One (1) Hunter.
Split Season Dates: Any 30 days (does not have to be consecutive) – September 1 to October 15, 2015 and January 1 to February 15, 2016.
Hunt Units Open: 1-16.
• Use of aircraft is prohibited.
• Use of snow mobiles and all-terrain vehicles prohibited.
There is a mandatory permit check in and out.
A licensed Navajo Nation guide is required and must accompany the hunter any time he/she is on the Navajo Nation lands, including during scouting activities prior to the hunt. The Department of Fish and Wildlife is not responsible for arrangements made between a guide and a client, and the quality of guide services provided.
• No hunter companions, except for immediate family members.
• No refunds.
• Permit cannot be transferred.
• The successful bidder must also submit a completed Navajo Nation Hunt Application in order for permit to be printed.
• Successful bidder must be eligible to hunt on the Navajo Nation.
• The successful hunter must have their Elk checked by Department personnel to collect harvest information.
