Why, ride one, of course! And the Captain rides a big one! This Golden Age key issue (published prior to Captain Marvel Adventures #1) is the very first comic book devoted entirely to the "Big Red Cheese" and sports art by co-creator C.C. Beck. Published a few months after Captain Marvel made his debut in Whiz #2, there is speculation that this book was meant to be Captain Marvel Adventures #1, but due to an editorial change, the cover and some art for the first issue of Captain Marvel Adventures was given to Jack Kirby. Regardless, the premiere issue here at hand features the only cover appearance of Captain Marvel's belt buckle, and he appears with a button down flap. This copy has a nice spine, an appealing cover, and nice edges, everything a book in this grade should have. On occasion eBay live bid software cannot keep up with the pace of the auctions where 4-5 lots per minute can hammer down, so we recommend that you place a realistic absentee bid now as insurance to avoid disappointment.
