Spanish miquelet flintlock sporting shotgun, approx. 16ga, 35” barrel, 51” overall, half stocked, inlaid in gold “D. RRADURAS” in block letters on top of barrel. The breech shows full complement of maker’s stamps withgold inlays on breech, lock, and rear portion of lock. The gun shows a two-stage octagon to round barrel with good quality engraving and chiseling. The metal surfaces show a deep brown patina with scattered light tomoderate erosion. There is fancy gold and silver inlays around the front sight. The stock shows good checkering and classic Spanish styling. The gun is high quality throughout. The stock is good and would bevery good other than chips around the lockplate at the bottom edge and some losses of wood that are minor, could be restored. A correct to the period horn-tipped ramrod is included. The gun is very light and pointsbeautifully. Est: $2,000 - $4,000
