Spanish Made Miquelet Action Percussion Conversion Pistol
According to a provenance letter included with the lot, this pistol was found in a private estate in St. Augustine, Florida, the oldest continually occupied city in the United States. Cannon style muzzle, with a set of decorative bands on the round section and an unidentified proof stamp on the top flat of the breech. Unmarked lock plate, with the flashpan cut and rounded down and a bolster style nipple base. Smooth full length stock, with a bird's head butt and brass ramrod pipe, trigger guard, reverse plate and buttcap, all engraved.

Condition: Very good as period converted to percussion, with a mixed brown and gray patina on the steel components, along with bright edge wear, scattered spotting and some mild handling marks.
