Spanish Louisiana Document Signed "El Barón de Carondelet", four pages, 7.5" x 12", in Spanish, September 22, 1792, New Orleans, Louisiana. An interesting document from the governor of Spanish Louisiana, Francisco Luis Hector, Barón de Carondelet, to the governor of Spanish Natchez, Manuel Gayoso de Lemos. Among the men noted on the document are Stephen Minor, who later served as the last Spanish governor of Natchez and Peter Petit. Minor entertained both Gen. James Wilkinson, commanding officer of the federal army, and Aaron Burr, the former vice-president under Thomas Jefferson, at his home at Natchez. Well worth further research. Sold with an unrelated document. Both are in excellent condition.

Shipping: Flat Material, Small (view shipping information)
