Spanish Dragoon sword, marked "Por el rey carlos III", with R and crown proof, and cross and fleur de lis proof on reverse with "Dragones.To.1776". The hilt shows heavy brass cup hilt guard with hardwood grip. The blade measures 34-1/2" overall, the sword is 41-1/2"; the blade in good condition showing old sharpening and cleaning, and some minor pitting. A rarely encountered sword with good markings from Colonial era that couldhave been carried to the American southwestern frontier. Est.: $1,250-$2,500

We are open Tuesday thru Friday 10:00 am to 5:00 pm and Saturday 10:00 am to 4:00 pm. Little John's will be closed the Friday after the auction. Preview on October 27th 7 28th 9:00 to 11:00 am each day.

Little John's will pay for packing and materials. Buyer pays actual costs of shipping and insurance. All International purchases will be sent to an exporter for shipment to foreign countries. International buyers agree to pay all cost incurred including all shipping, insurance, exporter fees, all custom and duty fees associated with shipment. Post 1898 firearms must be shipped to a Federal Firearms Licensee in your place of residence. All Federal, State and Local Regulations apply and MUST be strictly followed.
