Spanish-American War period military style commercially sold flap holster for Colt double action .38 caliber revolver identical to one example carried and used by Theodore Roosevelt. The condition is very good plus with tightstitching and the belt loop is marked “1 R”. These holsters were manufactured by Reed and Son of Boston, refer “U.S. Military holsters and Pistol Cartridge Boxes” by Scott Meadows where Roosevelt is pictured wearing an identical holster.
