Antique lithograph from the Spanish American War shows the Battle of Santiago de Cuba, July 3, 1898. In this pivotal engagement, the - Flying Fleet - of Commodore Winfield Scott Schley destroyed the Spanish fleet under the command of Admiral Cervera. Schley?s flagship, USS Brooklyn, leads the American battle line. A portrait of the hero appears in the corner.
<p>This antique poster appears to be in very good condition. The colors
are still full and intense. It was framed and the old wood backing
has stained the reverse of the print. The bottom margin was cut
off prior to framing. There is some damage at the left end of
the cut and there is a tear on the right margin. No other chips or
tears, or water or sun damage.
<p>Measures 21-1/2 x 17-1/2 inches
<p>Marked: No. 1212 Published by Muller, Luchsinger & Co.,
1898.
