<B>Isabella II gold Proof 100 Reales 1856,</B></I> Cayon-17368, KM-605.2, 6-pointed stars (for Madrid mint), PR65 Cameo NGC, a lovely example of this first year of a 7-year type featuring the queen with draped bust and an elegant bun-styled hairdo reminiscent of that shown on English bronze coins of Queen Victoria beginning in the 1860s. The surfaces of this proof show orange-peel texture and are delicately toned. The reverse has a couple of minute, black carbon flecks (oxidized tin in the gold alloy).
