<B>Space-Worn International Space Station Flight Suit</B></I> made for U.S. astronaut E. Michael Fincke. This multi-pocket flight suit is made of cotton and lavsan. The 9th Mission to the ISS was launched from the Baikonur Cosmodrome, Kazakhstan, aboard the Soyuz TMA-4 spacecraft, docking with the International Space Station on April 21, 2004. As the NASA Space Station science officer and flight engineer, Lt. Col. Fincke spent six months aboard the ISS continuing ISS science operations, maintaining Station systems, and performing four spacewalks. The Expedition-9 mission concluded with undocking from the station and safe landing back in Kazakhstan on October 23, 2004. Lt. Col. Fincke completed his first mission in 187 days, 21 hours and 17 minutes, and logged a total of 15 hours, 45 minutes and 22 seconds of EVA time in four spacewalks. The astronauts and cosmonauts were not permitted to take their flight suits with them in the Soyuz spacecraft. The Progress cargo ship delivered the space wardrobes to the ISS. A 4.25" x 1.5" patch with "<I>M. Fincke</B></I>" in English and Russian is affixed to the flight suit. It is accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from the manufacturer, Kentaur-Science Co. Ltd., in Russian and English, signed in ink by its General Director, A. Yarov.The original plastic bag, slit open at the bottom, is present. Also present is a 7" x 5" color photograph of Lt. Col. Fincke aboard the ISS, wearing this flight suit, shaking hands with U.S. astronaut Dr. Leroy Chiao, Commander and NASA Space Station science officer of the 10th mission which docked with the ISS on October 15, 2004. Lt. Col.
