Rare and beautiful example of an Extravehicular Mobility Unit (EMU) prototype helmet for the Space Shuttle program. The blow-molded Polycarbonate helmet approximately measures 9.25˝ x 11˝ x 11˝ and features its inner headrest backing, as well as its red Air-Lock anodized disconnect ring marked “Engage // Locked” and “Use with Red Suit Ring Only.” The helmet retains its original plastic wrap covering. In fine condition.

Originates from the personal collection of a former facility maintenance manager at Marquardt Corporation in Van Nuys, California.
