Uncommon staple-bound NASA manual for the Space Shuttle program headed “Flight Data File, Flights Maps and Charts, All Flights” (JSC-17328), issued by the Mission Operations Directorate, Operations Divisions (Basic, Revision D) on October 15, 1984. The manual, approximately 275 pages, 8.5 x 11, served as a training manual for the maps and charts of each landing site required by the Shuttle, and contains images, maps, and charts of each runway that the Space Shuttle would have used either during a standard or emergency landing. It features a comprehensive listing of the runway data needed to identify each landing strip, such as elevation, star identification, runway direction, dimensions, Tacans (Tactical Air Navigation), MLS (Microwave landing system), PAPI (USAF), and Ball bar (USN) lights of Optical landing systems. In fine condition.
