Soyuz TM-30 Spacecraft Flown Heat Shield Plug, 0.75" x 2" diameter. Soyuz TM-30 docked with the Russian space station Mir on April 6, 2000. The Russian decision to reactivate Mir generated criticism from NASA. The US space agency believed that resumption of manned operation onboard Mir would further degrade the ability of Russia to fulfill its obligations in the International Space Station. Cosmonauts Sergey Zalyotin and Aleksandr Kaleri reactivated Mir and, using Progress M1-1 and M1-2, resupplied the station and raised the orbit. The orbital plane of Mir was then around 120 degrees away from that of the International Space Station, making transport between the stations impossible. Soyuz TM-30 undocked from Mir on June 15th and landed on June 16, 2000, in Kazakhstan.

Shipping: Miscellaneous Collectibles, Smal (view shipping information)
