Southern Railway green enamel SEATBACK plate "GOUDHURST". 48"x3", restored. An ex SER station, on the Hawkhurst Branch from Paddock Wood, opened as "Hope Mill for Goudhurst And Lamberhurst" in 1892; was renamed "Goudhurst" after only two months and closed in 1961. This is reputedly the only surviving seatback from the Hawkhurst Branch (see Lots 335 and 505).
