<B>South Carolina February 14, 1777 $30 Extremely Fine.</B></I> We see on average about one of these a year, with the last one offered over two years ago. This nicely signed <B>Extremely Fine </B></I>note is unusually high-grade for this issue and in fact we have not offered a higher graded example. The vignette is of a man hiking with a pack on his back, surrounded by the Latin motto, <I>"Mysera Servitus Omnis," </B></I>which Newman translates as "All slavery is wretched." Neither Newman nor Friedberg prices this scarce note above VF.
