South Carolina. April 10, 1778. No.8616. Uncut Sheet. 2s 6d - 3s 9d - 5s - 10s. The first note with a Cornucopia, the second with a beaver. The 5 Shilling features a phoenix rising, and the 10 Shilling has a palm tree. Thirty-thousand sheets were printed, but the survival rate was very low. A rare opportunity to obtain a nicely vignetted South Carolina sheet. EF-AU, as the sheet has been quarterfolded and one of the folds impacts the 10 Shilling note.
