Somerset & Dorset Joint Railway full case copper station lamp with four sloping sides one of which bears a blue etched name tablet "COLE for BRUTON" (cracked). A Midland Railway pattern lamp with a decorated double chimney; finial; metal vessel stamped "M R Co Gas"; burner, and glass funnel. 371/2" tall. Polished. Note Cole for Bruton station, between Templecombe and Evercreech Junction, opened in 1862 and closed in 1966.
