Issued to (not signed) by CORNELIUS VANDERBILT WHITNEY Financier, co-founder of Aviation Corporation of the Americas and Pan American Airways. The son of Harry Payne Whitney and the grandson of Cornelius Vanderbilt, Whitney was one of the wealthiest men in America and provided critical financial support for Juan Trippe’s plans for the airline business during the late 1920’s and early 1930’s. Other prominent financiers listed as being involved in this company are: Thomas Fortune Ryan, Daniel Guggenheim, Simon Guggenheim and S. R. Guggenheim. Folds and a few small staple holes. Fine.
