Rare Sochi 2014 commemorative silver coin, entitled ''Russian Winter''. As one of 54 minted to commemorate the games, the coin's issue was very limited, totaling less than half of the number issued for the London 2012. Front of medal depicts the National Coat of Arms of the Russian Federation, with a semicircular inscription along the rim reading ''THE RUSSIAN FEDERATION'' in Russian. With inscriptions to lower left indicating the precious metal and its fineness, and to the right, the fine metal content and the mint trade mark, and to lower edge ''100 RUBLES'' in Russian and the date: ''2014 r.'' Verso is engraved with vignettes of winter sports. Inscription at top reads ''SOCHI 2014'' in Russian with the five Olympic rings beneath it. Includes official COA reading, ''This is to certify that the coin accompanied by this certificate is original, issued by the Bank of Russia and minted by the Mints of the Russian Federation. Metal: Silver / Fineness: 925/1000 / Denomination, Roubles / 100 / Fine Metal Content, KG: 1 / Quality: Proof-like / Diameter. MM: 100,0''. With an official Sochi hologram sticker including serial numbers affixed to COA. Coin weighs 2.6 lbs and measures 4'' in diameter. Housed in original and ornate wooden box measuring 7.25'' x 7.25'' with ''Sochi 2014'' printed in silver to cover and again to inside of box. Fine.
