Official Clube de Regatas do Flamengo shirt worn by attacking midfielder Zico during a match in the 1979 season. The heavy cotton Heringol shirt, no size likely medium/large, features the CRF logo to left chest and the number “10” to back. In very good to fine condition, with expected wear from use, which includes a few small holes. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Marcos Moura Teixeira, a former technical coordinator for the Brazilian National Soccer Team, who affirms that the shirt derives from his personal collection. Brazilian coach and footballer Arthur Antunes Coimbra, better known as Zico and often called the ‘White Pelé, is widely considered to be one of the greatest footballers of all time. Arguably the world's best player of the late 1970s and early 80s, Zico is regarded as one of history's most elite playmakers and free kick specialists, and in 1999 was ranked eighth in the FIFA Player of the Century grand jury vote. The great Pelé was quoted as stating: ‘Throughout the years, the one player that came closest to me was Zico.’
