Extremely attractive pairing of gold-tone winner’s medals issued to the Brazilian national football team for becoming the first team to qualify for the 2018 FIFA World Cup in Russia. Both medals measure 70 mm in diameter, with one weighing 132 gm and the other 127 gm; the front of the first medal features the Brazilian Football Confederation (CBF) logo and raised text in Portuguese (translated): “Best Campaign in the History of the Selection, Best Attack of the Elimination Rounds, Best Defense of the Elimination Rounds, 1st Selection Classified for the Cup of Russia”; and the reverse depicts the CBF logo encircled by the names of Brazilian players and personnel. The second medal features a raised design of a soccer ball with the South American continent and the FIFA Russia logo, encircled by raised Portuguese text: “Homage to the Champion of the South American Elimination Rounds / World Cup of Russia / 2018”; and the reverse shows the CBF logo and the name of its president, Marco Polo Del Nero. Includes the original presentation case. In overall fine condition. Accompanied by a certificate of authenticity from Marcos Moura Teixeira, a former technical coordinator for the Brazilian National Soccer Team, who affirms that the medals derive from his personal collection.
