Snyder conversion musket with E. Robinson New York lock plate, .58 cal., 38” round barrel, wood stock, #NVSN. This gun is in overall good condition with a light patina over metal surfaces; the Snyder opening breech block conversion hasbeen made to an E. Robinson musket with lock plate dated 1863. The bore is near fine, the markings sharp, the action crisp and both sling swivels remain with the musket. The wood is overall good with scattered wear, nicks and mars from carry and storage and an old repaired crack can be seen on the right side of the fore stock just in front of the lock plate; steel ramrod retained.
