In 1972 the <B>Print Mint</B></I> took over as publisher, from then on it was printed on a newspaper press at a commercial plant. The first three editions, on the other hand, were printed on a small press and assembled by hand. People were supplied with stacks of pages and covers to take home, fold, and staple. They were paid by the number of books they completed. The final step involved stacking the books in a paper cutter and cutting a quarter inch off the top edge. When the books reached the retailer it was common to mark them up to 50 cents or more, most copies in circulation have a sticker covering the original price. This copy was never trimmed, never stickered, and never put in circulation. It's no wonder this is one of the highest graded copies from CGC. <I>From the collection of Apex owner Don Donahue</B></I> <B>Estimate: $300-up</B> </FONT></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE></TD></TR></TBODY></TABLE><BR><!--<a name="PricesRealized"></a> <table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="0" cellpadding="0" bgcolor="#000000"> <tr> <td width="100%"> <table width="100%" border="0" cellspacing="1" cellpadding="3"> <tr> <td width="100%" bgcolor="#79735C"> <a name="PR"> <font face="arial" size="3" color="#FFFFFF"> <b>Previous Prices from Heritage Auctions</b> </td> </tr> <tr> <td bgcolor="#F6F6ED"> No Prior Data Recorded </td> </tr> <tr> <td bgcolor="#FFFFFF"> <font face="arial" size="1""> PLEASE NOTE: All prices realized reflect the final hammer price PLUS the buyer's premium in auctions that charge a buyer's premium. On occasion eBay live bid software cannot keep up with the pace of the auctions where 4-5 lots per minute can hammer down, so we recommend that you place a realistic absentee bid now as insurance to avoid disappointment.
