Snafu #2-3 Bound Volume Stan Lee File Copy (Red Circle, 1956). Self-proclaimed as "The Funniest Magazine in the World," Snafu was a popular magazine of the 1950s in the tradition of Mad and Cracked. Fondly remembered by Stan Lee, this magazine gave him a chance to write the humor that he loved so much. Offered here is Stan's personal bound copy of the second and third issues of this magazine. These issues feature art by such legends as Bill Everett, Joe Maneely, and John Severin, and great writing by "Smilin'" Stan himself. The books themselves are in good condition, with slight brittleness of the pages and browning at the edges. A few pages are torn, but the books are intact. Several pages have Stan's handwritten notes, comments, and corrections. The first page has been inscribed, "From my personal collection, Stan Lee." Stan is justifiably proud of this title, and was hesitant to offer this book for auction. This is a unique collectible from one of comics' greatest creators. Important notice: We expect to be auctioning lots at the rate of 200-250 per hour.
