Featured in this lot we have a Frederic Remington inspired bronze titled "Smoke Signals" and signed by the Henry Bonnard Bronze Co circa 1909. The Henry Bonnard Bronze Company was a bronze casting company that was founded in the late 1800's and was responsible for casting a number of Frederic Remington Bronzes from 1895 till 1900. This piece depicts two native Americans crouching down beside a camp fire and each holding ends of a large hide. The braves show feather decoration in their hair with two rifles set to the side and a buffalo skull next to them. The bronze is marked "Inspired By Frederic Remington c Henry-Bonnard Bronze 1909". The piece is set onto a wooden base with a bass plaque across the front reading "Smoke Signals By F. Remington". The bronze statue shows good condition overall with some damage to the wood base. It measures 32 1/2" wide by 19 1/2" wide and approximately 20 1/4" tall.
