With papers on flint implements and fossil remains, Arizona archaeological work, and a visit to tribes of the Purus River, Brazil by Joseph Beale Steere. Steere took students from the University of Michigan, where he taught, on his expedition through the Amazon in 1901 to collect specimens for the Smithsonian [academic.reed.edu]. This report gives illustrated examples of what he found there. Hardbound in green cloth with lettering in gilt. 452 pp. 6" x 9".
