The famous Bowie knife of the 1800’s was used as a subject of the motion picture ‘The Iron Mistress” This replica is similar to the one displayed in the Smithsonian Museum in Washington D.C. The blade is 11” long and 2 ½ inches wide, of 3/8” steel and the knife weighs 34 ounces. The handle is made of white micarta and the round butt cap is solid brass. This model is as close to the actual Bowie style as any knifesmith has ever achieved. This no-longer- in-production Bowie knife was custom ordered from the Randal Knife Company, Orlando Fl. In 1990 and is of collector quality. This quality one of a kind knife comes with a presentation board with the history of the Bowie Knife. You Can’t have the one in the Smithsonian but you can own this one.
