Smith and Wesson Model 19-2 revolver, cal., .357 Magnum, Serial #622757. The pistol is in overall nearly excellent condition with a 3” barrel. The pistol retains approximately 92-96% of its blued finish with a slight loss at the muzzle and a light index line on the cylinder. The smooth wood medallion grips are in overall very good condition with small mars on the right grip. This pistol has seen little use. Included, a factory letter dated July 28, 2000, indicating this revolver was shipped from the factory on July 5, 1966, and delivered to American Arms Co., Wareham, MA., shipped with a 3” barrel, target hammer, target trigger, round butt with checkered wood stocks. The letter also notes “We do not have a total quantity manufactured on this variation. They were manufactured from over rounds of a 1000 unit order for the United States Navy. It is estimated that as many as 50 may have been produced with a 3” barrel”. (Modern). Est.: $700-$1,400.
