Smith & Wesson Schofield model, Wells Fargo marked, numbered “16”. .45 caliber, barrel reduced to 6”, blued finish, wood grips. The revolver shows original Wells Fargo stamping on right side of barrel lug, some scratchedinitials “WS” at top right grips, “E” on the bottom of right grip. The condition is fair to good with light to moderate erosion and pitting, some slightly heavier pitting on the cylinder and breech of barrel. The woodgrips are fair to good with small losses and wear. The action is not quite working properly, nor is the ejector and needs repair. The bore is fair, the markings are good. Included with this revolver is aarchive of approx. 75 Wells Fargo related original items consisting of 8 photographs, 21 Agent’s cards, 5 Express Co. receipts, freight bills, envelopes, receipts, which are all genuine and interesting and make a gooddisplay.
