Smith & Wesson Schofield model .45 caliber revolver, US Marked butt, serial #4408, blue finish, wood grips, barrel reduced to 5”. Shows original Wells Fargo markings and serial #4408 stamped on right edge of barrellug on right side. The revolver shows traces of original blue drifting to patina with some scattered light to moderate erosion and pinprick pitting. The grips are worn and show some tacking areas from nailing backhorseshoes. The grips have been lightly refinished. The markings are good, the action is out of time and not working properly.
