Smith & Wesson Schofield .45 cal. revolver, nickel plated, pearl grips, commercial model, #6336 with Abercrombie & Fitch marked old single loop holster altered to fit this revolver during its working life by cuttingtop flap. The Schofield remains in good to very good original condition showing 30%-50% original nickel drifting to gray metal, some scattered light to moderate erosion and surface pitting where the nickel has lifted,and some slightly heavier areas of pitting on a few areas back on the frame. The original pearl grips show some small chips and wear, and losses at the heels, but generally good overall and absolutely original to the period and made for this gun. The address on the left side of the barrel is slightly light, mostly legible. The action is good and working. The front sight has been trimmed a small amount. The bore is fair. The revolvershows good, honest use, and was never military marked and is in the commercial range. A very nice frontier rig. Est.: $4,000-$8,000.
