SN: 21118. Civil War era antique single action rimfire revolver, Smith & Wesson, based on serial number, manufactured in 1862 during the war. Many soldiers privately purchased these to carry in battle. Manufactured 1861-1874. Features blued finish, smooth rosewood two piece grips, 6" octagon, ribbed barrel, fixed sights, spur trigger, square butt, 6 shot unfluted cylinder, hinged frame tip-up action. Missing the rammer pin under the barrel used with the removable cylinder to extract shell casings. Bore is good, strong rifling, some scattered light pitting. Metal finish has turned a dull gray/brown patina. Grips are very good. Action is smooth, lock up is tight. Markings are clear. Matching serial number is factory stamped on the underside of the right grip panel. The left panel has the initials "EH" craved in it, looks period done. Comes with a Brauer Bros brown leather holster.
