Smith & Wesson New Model No. 3 in .44 S&W caliber with factory 8” barrel and spur on trigger guard, serial number 32412. The revolver remains in near fine original condition showing 85% to 95% original brightblue. The blue is drifting on the edges with some minor erosion and slight losses. There is a light index line between the cylinder stops. The revolver shows factory target sight on the latch and a oversize fronttarget sight which is in the original slot and pinned. The hammer shows 90% to 95% bright original case hardening and the trigger guard shows 50% to 60% model case hardening. The trigger shows some slightfinish. The checkered wood grips are fine to near excellent. The action is very smooth and crisp. The bore is bright and near excellent. Also the number on the cylinder matches and the interior. The frame showslittle to almost no use. A very fine 8” special order Smith with interesting features that may factory letter to an individual or well-known shooter as it was recently discovered in Europe. Est.: $7,000-$14,000.
