Smith & Wesson New Model #3 single-action revolver, .44 S&W caliber, 6-1/2” barrel, factory nickel plated, checkered wood grips, cut for shoulder stock, serial #23386, with shoulder stock and leather carrying holster.The revolver shows 60-80% original nickel evenly drifting and toning with most of the losses at the edges of the barrel and on the cylinder. There is some light erosion and pinprick pitting where the nickel has lifted. The barrel address is sharp, edges fairly crisp, nickel has not been polished. The hammer and triggerguard show 50-70% case hardening with some bright areas of case hardening on the hammer. The grips are goodwith a faint trace of a marking on the left upper edge in the circular area. The serial number on the butt is offset by the factory indicating factory cut for shoulder stock with backstrap drilled to accept S&W stylestock. The interior is fine to excellent with bright bore, a correct shoulder stock in very good plus to near fine condition is included and is numbered 13019, showing a broadhead proof of the type used by
