Smith & Wesson Model of 1926 DA revolver, .44 Special cal., barrel reduced to 3-1/2”, nickel finish, checkered gold medallion wood grips, #28827 (matching barrel and cylinder); right side plate inscribed “Tom Cannon, Lubbock PoliceDept.”. This gun is in overall very good to near fine condition showing a professional job of shortening the barrel, majority of original nickel finish remaining; very good bore, crisp action, very good markings and grips. This Model wassimilar to the famous S&W triple lock (First Model .44 H.E.) but without the third locking point; it was manufactured between 1926 and 1949. Officer Cannon should be further researched as to his years of service and assignments. (C&R). Est.: $1,000-$2,000
