Smith & Wesson Model 46 Semi Automatic Pistol, #24814, .22 LR cal., 7'' barrel, blue finish, factory brown checkered plastic target grips, factory adjustable rear sight, with one 10-round magazine. Designed with 105ø grip angle to mimic that of the 1911 service pistol. The Model 46 was produced from 1957 to 1966. In 1959 the U.S. Air Force selected the Model 46 for its marksmanship training. In all, about 4000 units were produced, 2500 in this configuration with the 7'' barrel. Condition is about fine holding just over 90% of its original factory finish, with wear to high edges and some splotchy losses to right side of frame and slide. Grips remain crisp, action is smooth, bore is excellent with a crisp approx 3.5 lb. trigger pull. Est.: $800-$1,200. (C&R/PPT)
