Smith & Wesson Model 1881 double action frontier revolver in .44 S&W caliber showing 6 ½” barrel, blue finish, hard rubber grips, serial number 36902. The revolver remains in fine to excellent condition showing 95% to98% original bright blue. Some slight losses at the high points and edges with a minor index line on the back of the cylinder. The hammer and trigger show 70% to 80% case hardening that is dulling slightly. The grips are fine to near excellent and the edges and markings are super crisp. The action is tight and the bore is bright and near excellent. The numbers on the cylinder and latch match. The nicest blued Model 1881 wehave seen in a decade. Est.: $3,500-$7,000.
