Featured in this lot we have a Smith & Wesson model 1 second issue spur trigger single action revolver chambered in .22 rim fire. The revolver was manufactured between 1860 to 1868. This Second issue displays a 3 1/8" long octagonal barrel, walnut grips, 7 shot cylinder, spur trigger, and silvered finish. The top barrel ridge is marked "SMITH & WESSON. SPRINGFIELD. MASS". The revolver displays a silver finish across the frame with some of the bronze construction showing at the edges. Mechanically the revolver shows good condition with a crisp trigger. The pistol shows good condition overall with wear due to age and use. Provenance: From the Tombstone Western Heritage Museum in Tombstone, Arizona where the revolver has been on display in their collection for multiple decades, Marge and Stephen Elliott collection with many items associated with John D. Gilchriese. The revolver weighs 10oz. Serial Number: 121048. This firearm qualifies as an Antique, and does not require FFL Transfer or NICS Background Check.
