Single action break top revolver made circa 1878 - 1892. Features nickel finish, dark brown checkered Gutta Percha bird's head grips with "S&W" logo, spur trigger (no guard), 3.5" barrel, fixed sights, 5 shot cylinder. Bore is poor condition, dark with pitting, visible rifling. Charge holes are fair condition. Refinished, retains 85% bright nickel finish with small areas of peeling or flaking, some visible scratches, visible pitting under refinish, dishing at screw holes. Grips are poor condition, useable, with large pieces missing from butt on both sides. Action operates properly, fairly smooth, with slightly loose cylinder lock-up. Cylinder can slide a short distance away from barrel assembly when action is opened. Condition is NRA Good *** Antique Firearm ***
