Manufactured from 1878 to 1892. Two line address/patent reissue dates on top of the rib and the V shaped patent marking on the top strap. This is one of the first 6500 with eccentric strain screw for mainspring tension found under the grip. Matching numbers on butt, cylinder and barrel, with non-matching latch. Pinned blade front and notch rear sights, all nickel finish with checkered casehardened hammer and trigger.

Condition: Good. 85% original nickel plating remains on the barrel showing scattered spotting as well as two small patches of pitting on the rib and on the front sight. All markings are crisp and clear. The frame retains about 60% original nickel plating the balance is now a mottled gray patina concentrated to the right side. The hammer exhibits vibrant case colors. The grips are very good. The action is smooth.
